With UML already supporting the motion and Maoist also deciding in favour of it, the largest party in the parliament, Nepali Congress, is yet to come up with its official position on the motion. But NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba met Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday and reportedly assured him of his support for the motion. Student leaders also met Deuba on Sunday and urged his party to go for Karki’s impeachment. Deubua is said to be in a dilemma because although he personally is supportive, many influential leaders in his party are against impeachment.
