The issues related to health of migrant people has become critical for many countries, particularly in Europe, in recent days. There were several categories of migrants including unskilled migrant workers, those who migrated for educational purposes, and professionals who went overseas for better remuneration. Moreover, wars in different countries have forced many people to migrate to other countries. These people are prone various health complications resulting from their eating habits and working and living conditions.
More than 50 countries are expected to take part in the second GCMH. The first consultation was held in Madrid, Spain in 2010.
