Commerce minister Tipu Munshi announced it after a meeting at labour and employment minister in presence of state minister for labour Monnujan Sufian.
The labour and employment ministry on Sunday decided to revise the wages for apparel workers in the purview of a non-ending spate of unrest in its garments sector.
The decision came after direct instruction from prime minister Sheikh Hasina, said a press release issued from the labour ministry in this regard.
Wages will be logically increased in every grade following the revision, it said.
