Indian army officers, on November 7, briefed the defence and military attaches of various countries posted in Delhi about the â€œglobal and regional security scenarioâ€ and Indiaâ€™s â€œsecurity concernsâ€, amid rising tensions along the border with Pakistan. However,Â no representative from Pakistan was invited to the meet.
Lt Gen Bipin Rawat, Vice Chief of the Army Staff, spoke about â€œglobal and regional security scenario and Indiaâ€™s security concernsâ€. Later, during an interaction, the attaches also shared their views on the security issues and how they have been impacted.
Defence diplomacy has emerged as a powerful tool in the present environment where the armed forces of the world stand united fighting common enemies and challenges.
